UIDAI said that such corrupted enrollment agencies will be penalised Rs 50,000 fine along with some legal action. UIDAI wants people to come forward to give specific complaints against such enrollment centres so that it can take action against them. Reports say that they have asked these enrollment centres to shift to government-owned premises. They were told to shift to these premises till August, while the deadline has now been extended till September 30. The shifting will be done to make sure that their centres are properly supervised and in case of any wrong practices, they can take immediate action. However, it is unlikely that there is any scope for non-compliance. Those who fail to shift their centres to government-owned premises will have to face penalties.
